Sat Mar 31, 2012 Description
Done. So glad this is over. 1. Use 15 different kits: Tiffany Tillman's Thursday Templates #13 [ link ] and Karla Dudley's Right now [ link ] , the rest linked below. (I guess they are linked to the copy in the Member Gallery? Didn't know it wouldn't go each place. I'll try to link them up here too.) 2. Use kits from exactly 6 different designers: Tiffany Tillman, Karen Funk, Karla Dudley, Audrey Neal, Sara Schmutz, and Robyn Meierotto 3. Use a blending mode: I used Tiffany Tillman's Orange Solid from Baby Dinos to add texture under the big photo using the Vivid Light blend mode. 4. Use an advertisement as the starting point for your page: This ad inspired the tapestry look to the background and the heart shapes [ link ] 5. Use a title of a book as your page title: When We Were Very Young by A. A. Milne 6. Use orange as an accent color: Done 7. Duplicate a photo, but use different crops of that photo: The upper and lower left photos were cropped from the main photo. 8. Alter an element: Changed the color of the ric rac and filled in the center of the star burst. 9. Do an extraction: The star burst was extracted from tab in Karla's Right Now kit and the words filled in. 10. Use the words “Mad”, “March”, and “Memories” in your journaling, but not as one phrase: Done. I'll post the journaling below. 11. Do a two-page layout, but…: Done 12. One page’s background must be a photo: Done 13. Weave an element behind and in front of something else: I cut slits in the heart in the upper right corner and wove ric rac over and under the heart. The string & buttons embellishment came pre-woven and don't count for this challenge. 14. Create a shape (using custom shape tools) and use it in three different ways: The heart as a clipping mask shape (upper right), as a mask for cutting a heart out of the picture of my daughter, and as a stroke outline in the star burst. 15. Incorporate a strong diagonal line into your design: The kids lined up diagonally in the photo. Journaling: I love it when your daddy & his brothers & sisters talk about the things they did together as kids. I don’t have any siblings to help me remember my childhood & that makes me sad. I hope that as you grow up you make lasting memories of your childhood together. Remember the happy times, the sad times, even the times when you made each other really, really mad. Together you have something very special, a friendship that will last your whole life long if you treat each other with love. I hope that someday you too will sit together and talk about when you were very young. Love Mommy, March 31, 2012. Additional Category: Member Gallery Actions |

Sat Mar 31, 2012 5:54pm yay Wendy! This turned out great even if it was a struggle. Wonderful 2 page layout. What fun for you having five children having no siblings of your own. It sounds like you have a big family now. |
