Fri Mar 30, 2012 Description
Here is my LO for our final challenge! This has been quite the set of challenges. I will post my inspiration pic next. 1. Use 15 different kits, but… 1a KF - Make it count (stitched border, gray dot paper - altered in cloud), Genuinely You (ribbon wrap, bracket & stitching), A Fresh Start Papers (orange plaid), Plum Pretty (flowers), Blossom Acrylic Alpha 1b KT - Woodsy Papers (green), Woodsy Elements (stamp) 1c SS - Blackberry Winter Papers (blue dots), Happy Campers Brush (hiker) 1d CK - Wildflower paper (gray cut into cloud), Winter Woodland Pine (solid green), Winter Woodland Elements (pine tree) 1f AN - Everyday Patterns (orange solid, orange triangles, blue solids) 1g KD - Digi Essential (arrow brush), stamp sheet boy (arrow), Remarkable (fav pic stamp) 2. Use kits from exactly 6 different designersKaren Funk, Kate Teague, Sara Schmutz, Celeste Knight, Audrey Neal, Karla Dudley 3. Use a blending mode - I did the best with no PS, so I "blended" the cloud by changing it's opacity, so that it blended in with the large photo. 4. Use an advertisement as the starting point for your page - ad for Westfield Galleria at Roseville in the Oct/Nov 2011 issue of Sactown 5. Use a title of a book as your page title - There are about 7 books with the title, "View From Here" 6. Use orange as an accent color - done 7. Duplicate a photo, but use different crops of that photo - main large photo, duplicate to show focus of where my DH's finger is pointing 8. Alter an element - altered the Genuinely You ribbon wrap to be gray. 9. Do an extraction - extracted the green photo turn from K Teague's set 10. Use the words “Mad”, “March”, and “Memories” in your journaling, but not as one phrase:"We had a great time with our friends in Yosemite this year. The weather had started to look rainy and I would have been mad if we couldn't get to the top of Sentinel Dome before it turned yucky. We had great memories of our last trip and we wanted it to continue. On the beginning of the hike, you can march right along without breaking your stride and then it gets a little harder. Once you get to the top, it is ALL worth it!! Such beautiful views" 11. Do a two-page layout, but… done 12. One page’s background must be a photo - done 13. Weave an element behind and in front of something else - tree behind 1 cloud, but in front of another 14. Create a shape (using custom shape tools) and use it in three different ways - cloud shape cut out with Wildflower paper, cut the negative from orange diamonds and used as from, and cut a third out of K. Funk's Make it Count gray dot and the filtered twice (embossed & threshold) 15. Incorporate a strong diagonal line into your design - I made all the focus and elements point out the diagonal Additional Category: Member Gallery Actions |
