Be A Light - Round 5

Here is my LO for Round 5 of the Lighthouse that we visited on the Big Island in Hawaii. Sadly, I just learned while doing this page that it was torn down 4 months after we visited it due to erosion concerns.


1. Use an action on your photo - used multiple "actions" On bottom left photo, i did stylize-Canny Edge with a smoothness of 7.1, threshold 7 and bandwidth of 2. On the middle right picture, I changed color to black & white and gave it a "rustic" edge
2. Use an inspiration piece from Pinterest to start your page: My Lighthouse board - [ link ]


3. Do your journaling in list format - done


4. Blend a number into the background paper - blend 33 - the year it was made in the upper left corner


5. Recolor an element - recolored "our trip" tag from Creative Memories from beige to blue to match the background


6. Make a 2-d element 3-d - Took the Light from Creative Memories (Friday Freebies) and added special depth shadow. Also used Yellow Butterflies Renewed Spirit's button and spherized and then added depth shadows to make it look like the lantern was shadowing it.


7. Create your own word art using one alpha and one font - Wyld Peas Designs 999 Happy Haunts (black paper, Mud Creek Designs - Enchanted Night Alphas & A850 Deco


8. Use stripes, polka dots, and floral patterned papers Coastal Dreams Brown Team (stripe), Agnes Biro's Flowers of Naturalness, Britt-ish Designs Miss Kitty (black dots), also used CM's Jewel Travel for the background


9. Use only three colors: black, white + blue


10. Use only black and white photos - done


11. Use something from one of our free kits - Spring Blog Hop 2012, Audrey Neal (gray) - it is under the rustic-edged photo
