love = life

This sketch of my daughter and this poem was a gift, drawn and written by a very talented friend, and given to me many years ago. My father passed away just a couple of weeks after my daughter was born. She was six weeks premature and they got to meet one another………timing is everything in life.


Journaling-
This angel came to you, my friend
To make your heart feel glad-
At a time when it was aching
As you were oh-so sad


Life is like a flower, my friend
I compare it to a rose
Its petals bright and full of life
For how long no one knows


We do know when it is gone
Another will appear
This tells us life is good, my friend
As God is always near


Alyssa is your flower, your rose
She’ll heal your heart today
Her smiles, her laughs, her tears,
Will drive all sad days away


Give credit to the Master
As I am sure it was his plan-
To send you baby Alyssa
A special way he comforts man
