February 2010 Swatch Challenge

Welcome to our first Swatch challenge with the Designers at Design House Digital. We're excited to have this challenge hosted by a designer since we deal so much with color on an everyday basis. The point of this challenge is to inspire you to use new color combination that you might not use on a normal basis. So have a little fun playing around with color this month!

I have chosen this set of colors inspired by one of Carina Gardner's Layouts (see layout to the right).

Her Color Kit 2 does not have the Redish-pink or Rhodamine (in our house) but I loved how beautiful it interacts with the lime and pear green that I just knew I had to do something fun with it. Toss in a neutral chipboard color and you have a super fun spring color combo!

So here's how the challenge works, 1. Create a layout using The colors in my Swatch and 2. post it in the February Swatch Challenge Gallery. Remember not all the elements in your layout have to have these colors, you can pull in unique colors from photos to complete a color scheme too!
