February 2010 Journaling Challenge

Welcome to the DHD Challenge Forum and the very first Journaling Challenge!

February is traditionally the month of love. And our scrapbook layouts seem to emphasize that emotion above all others. This month, to be true to the traditions and trappings of February, we are going to journal about love. BUT, there is a twist. There's always a twist in a challenge, right?

The challenge is to write to or about someone you love without using the word love. I think this will really make the scrapper have to examine some of the reasons and specific things we LOVE about our family, friends, etc. Its easy to say we love our kids or spouse. It's a little bit more difficult to tell them what we admire, respect or appreciate about them.

You can use the word "love" in your title or another page element but you may not use it anywhere in your journaling.

Use this challenge as an opportunity to really think about the characteristics and traits that cause you to love. What attracted you to your spouse? What little things do your kids do that make your heart melt? Do you have a memory of a cherished grandparent? Have you scrapped why that person was so important in your life?
