So, I have a question for everyone about flairs. The beautiful flairs that are in so many of the kits recently all have a highlight at the top.
How do you shadow them?
I usually shadow at 45 degrees, but to me it looks funny with the top highlight. Am I being too picky?
I have either avoided using them (and I love how they look, I want to use them) or I turn them on their side so the highlight is at 45 degrees too.

I try to remember to turn them so the highlight matches the shadow. And of course then, sometimes the flair design is cockeyed.

I usually rotate the flair so the highlight / shadow works with my page. I've started shadowing at 45 degrees and really like that, but sometimes the rotation thing doesn't look right (text looks strange on an angle), so I'll switch back to the standard 120 degree shadowing. I think the rotation on the flairs works better when they are a design vs. a word, kwim?

I thought about that the other day but haven't had a chance to play around with flairs and shadows.
