hi guys,
I'm just checking out Persnickety for the first time, and I can't figure out how to get more than their basic 20 pages into a book. I'm sure it's something simple...can anyone help?

thanks!
J

I guess it doesn't have to be a book. I just keep hearing about how awesome Persnickety is & I want to try them.

I assumed they'd have books just like SHutterfly. But I guess I could print them as prints and put them into sleeves...is that what she recommends? How do you do it?

thanks for checking! I will order a few Persnickety prints and sleeve them. I'm getting tired of Shutterfly b/c they always print ruddier and darker than I like, even if I turn off their auto-correct feature.

since my persnickety prints are ALWAYS so awesome, i don't even bother with page protectors. i tape my pages back to back, punch holes in them and either put them in albums or do binder rinds with chipboard covers. works for me:) recycle, reuse, reduce!

I am HUGE fan of Persnickety Prints...Love, love, love their prints and service...I print pages and put them into sleeves...but that said the books are thick and heavy ...When printing a book I go to Shutterfly because I like their customer service and they are fast...have used Snapfish and Arts Cow, but Shutterfly is better...actually have been thinking about changing over to just doing books, because of the thickness and weight...running out of room!!!! Will have to check out Gen's recommendation...That one is new to me...BTW PP will be having their next sale of prints next weekend...the 19th-21st...

They do have books, but one of the best things about their prints is that they are a photographic print, which means the image is developed into the paper, and not just ink on top of the paper: Click here for a super cool video!

When they do a book, they have to do them with regular printed pages, so you kind of lose the awesomeness that is Persnickety.

If you want to do a photo book, I saw some books by Adorama at the expo, and they were super nice. They're a photographic print, too. They also have this super cool thing where they lay flat, so you don't lose anything in the gutter. They were pricey, though, but I heard that they do a sale a couple of times a year that brings their price way down.

I used to order all bound books, but I've changed that... I print the pages individually and put them in regular page protectors and albums. I will do Adorama books for special occasions, though.

FYI Shutterfly now has the flat option...also...for a price of course!!! :D
