I purchased the design 365 January Album. I was not expecting to have difficulty with the templates. However I'm not sure how to use these. Am I to size the pics exactly like the frames. Anything would be helpful, I'm use to using the fames as clipping masks. Thanks

Which one did you get? The one by Carina Gardner or the one by Jen Allyson?
Carina Gardner's is a Quick Album, so you would size your photos the size of the holes & stick them behind the template png. Or create individual masks and put them under the template png layer & clip your photos to those.
To make your own masks to clip your photos to, what I find works well is to use the magic wand, set it to contiguous and then click inside the opening of one of the photo spots -> edit & expand the selection by about 10 pixels -> on a new layer, fill the selection to create the clipping mask -> clip your photo to it. Repeat for each photo opening & make sure that all of the clipping masks & photos are under the main template png layer so that the expanded clipping mask sizing is hidden behind the top layer.
For Jen Allyson's, it is a layered template so you would clip your photos to the placeholder masks she has in the layers.
Once your photos are clipped to a mask, you can resize, reposition them inside of the mask so that only what you want showing is seen.
Hope that helps & if you have more questions, please ask.

Yes! Heather has is right. I'm using my templates for myself and I just lay the photos on a layer below. We should have a tutorial coming soon! I'll let you know!
