When do you put up Fall decorations?

how early do you put up your Fall decorations (or Halloween, if you celebrate that?)

It's still hot here...about 100F today...but the mornings are starting to feel cooler. AND I find myself yearning for cute pumpkins and Harvest-y cutesy thingies.

But it still feels too soon...I want to wait so we don't get tired of Fall before it even gets here!

How about you?

We still have another month of summer here - too soon to think about fall. I might start putting them up around the first of October.

September = fall here! We've had a few hot days still but yes, cool mornings so I put my stuff out on Saturday. I will switch to Halloween at the beginning of October then back to fall with some Thanksgiving in November.

I almost decorated with my fall leaves and pumpkins 3 weeks ago!
Then, I had to remind myself that it was still August and that I needed to at least wait until September. I dragged my box in the house yesterday (ironically) and have started.
I do my fall decor in stages. I have a lot of weird upper cubby space, so I have ivy among chili pepper decor above my kitchen cabinets that I switch out for fall leaf garland in September. Then, in October, I take down the chili pepper stuff and put up my Halloween stuff (mostly pumpkins/jack-o-lanterns). In my LR, I have just ivy over my doorway that gets fall leaves & plain pumpkins as do these 3 cubicles between my LR & FR. The rest of the house (lower spaces) don't really get a lot of just fall stuff, but get the full treatment for Halloween. I love me some fall
I take the Halloween stuff down after H, but leave up the original fall decor until Thanksgiving. Come the Sunday of Thanksgiving, it all gets switched out for Evergreen boughs, trees, snowflakes,etc.)

I usually don't put up fall decorations. I will decorate for Halloween. Last year we were incredibly busy, and I didn't get to decorate for Halloween until a couple of days before! It's getting cooler here in this part of Texas, so I might change out the tablecloth and placemats soon.

In Northern Michigan, when September comes, it starts getting cooler, and then the smell in the air makes me want to eat pumpkin, drink cider, and put up my fall decor. Because winter could come as early as November, our time table depends on the weather.

Fall ... Halloween ... don't usually decorate for Fall, per say. Halloween we've done the past couple of years, but not really "feeling it" yet - maybe by October 30th I will?!

I decorated last week It didn't feel like fall yet here when I put it up, but a few days after the fall weather definitely moved in We do mostly Halloween stuff, and not so much fall decor. Halloween is my favorite so the earlier the decorations go up the better!!

I seriously wish this thread would fall back to the second page. I just keep thinking- decorations there are supposed to be fall decorations

We carve pumpkins and put up a xmas tree- that's the extent of decorating for us.
