I finally decided to try this technique and cannot figure it out. I have pse 8. I have no idea what "clipping" the new adjustment layer to the element" means. Perhaps my PSE is too old. Have no clue what an "inner shadow" is either.

Nanscraps - I'm sorry I didn't see your comment sooner. The new adjustment layer is found in the lower right corner - it is a circle with one half darker than the other. You clip things together by holding down the alt key while clicking on the line between the two items you want to "clip" together. Inner Shadow is found in the elements part at the top right where you would normally choose drop shadows, you can scroll through other options, including inner shadow. I hope this helps answer your questions!
