This month, I give you a layout by the oh-so-talented Wendy Bretz:  With an interesting frame effect, a photo cropped into a circle, a monochromatic color scheme with a pop of color, and a sideways title and journaling, there's plenty to pique your interest. I'm having such a hard time with this one. Wendy did such a nice job that all I want to do is duplicate the layout using the same kit and everything. I just love it so I'm having a hard time thinking outside the box.

I need to loosen up! I never would have thought I'd be such a conformist.
I was blown away when I changed the hue and saturation on the journalling mat I wanted to frame my photo with and the maroon and blue came SO close to those in the photo... almost like I planned it that way! (At least I [i]think[i] they're close - the sunlight is streaming in the window and I'm not sure I can trust my eyes!)

I saw the original page and just couldn't break out of the mold! I do really like the resulting page (but I like the inspiration piece better). Here's what I came up with:
