...against circles on my layouts, particularly circle photos.
I spent a good chunk of the evening sorting through my massive template stash and realized that I discarded nearly every template that has circle photos.
Anybody else have a scrapping bias?

Ha that's funny! At least you can recognize it.
I am prejudice against layouts with teeny-tiny little photos on with tons of white space. If I have a template that wants a small photo I always stretch the photo box so it's bigger.

Renee, I think I have that problem too when it comes to the circle photos. I do have some templates with them (usually in a set of others), but I tend to skip them over because frankly I don't know how to make them look good! I challenged myself a few weeks ago and used one with my "First Word" layout I did, but it's not my favourite layout. But at least I went out of my comfort zone! But for me, I think I'm prejudiced to the 3D fantasy pages. I can't wrap my brain around how to even attempt one, but they just don't appeal to me. Although some are quite unique and beautiful, but just not something I want to invest my time into.

Katie, Ha! Sometimes I stretch my photo masks/frames out too! A lot of the times I see one with a lot of white space and might really like it, but if I attempt to do it myself I end up filling it up more than I intended.

I have a hard time getting circle layouts to look good, and I just "like" my square layouts! I also like big pictures where you can see details, and lots of vivid color. I LOVE soft, wispy layouts too, but it's really hard for me to make them. When I work w/out really thinking about it, I gravitate to my usual style. I'm not a huge fan of the fantasy layouts, as well. To be honest, I find them pretty creepy at worst, and moderately disturbing at best. I admit that some of them demonstrate excellent Photoshop skills, but I'm just more about celebrating and remembering reality, and the fantasy layouts feel like a fairytale gone wrong -- like a kid trapped in some kind of odd world. Sorry to all the fantasy layout people. I will completely accept your dislike of vivid-colored clean-line layouts! That's not to say that I don't find a few fantasy layouts here and there that I find amazing, cool and creative -- of course I've seen some that I do like! They're just not my thing.

In some cases, I have reduced the size of the photo and/or paper boxes. I don't discriminate. I love to try different styles and techniques, even some of those "creepy" ones. I may not be good some styles but it adds diversity to my albums. I noticed that many of my layouts started to look the same. Even my husband noticed and said he likes when I use quick pages because they are not in my typical style, so it add a lot of COLOR and pizzaz to my albums.

It's so funny how we are all different I LOVE teeny-tiny photos and tons of white space and I tend to strink my elements
