August P365 - Back to School!

Seriously - August?! Um, did I fall asleep like Rip Van Winkle, or something? I'm starting to collect school supplies for my son's return to high school in a few weeks. Of course, he's a teenager, so I'm SURE that clothes that he had last year, which still fit perfectly well, will be ... well ... sssssooo "last year" and I'll be out a few hundred $$$ shortly in a new wardrobe for him. *sigh*

So, what plans do you have for August? Anything special - or just scrapping those, sometimes forgotten, every day moments?

Well, I have a few photos now to get me started for this month - how about you? DS just finished up summer school and got a certificate for that ... and I just had a fun weekend (part work / part fun) and met a bunch of scrappy friends. I also did a complete makeover of DS's closet (ugh, heading into a teenagers closet - thought I might need a gas mask or something ... oh my, the shoes .. the gym bag ... *** shudder ***)

No back to school for me But plenty of fun everyday stuff. Been using Capture your 365 as prompts for favorite things, which has been fun. Got the first two weeks of August done already!

Diane, I'm not a big tomato fan - but that one on the first page looks really yummy! Did you grow that yourself?

Almost another month gone - where DOES the time go? I've got some interesting things to record this month, including an earthquake and, depending on the weather over the next 72 hours, hurricane Irene!

How about you? Kids gone back to school? House all quiet?

Well, Irene brought rain and wind ... but, thankfully, my family was pretty much unharmed by the hurricane; I know others weren't so fortunate. Wow, what a month - from one extreme to another! LOL

Secretly, I'm looking forward to next week, when DS goes back to school ... actually, he and DH are taking a "last hurrah trip of the summer" over Labor Day weekend, so I'll have a few days to myself.

Glad to hear Irene spared you! We love tomatoes, but have no growing space in our new yard, so buy them at the local farmers market

Here it is Aug 31 and I forgot to post last week, well, next to last week, last week is not done yet.
