Fireworks Photos?

For those in the US who celebrated Independence Day yesterday, did you grab your camera to take pictures of fireworks, the kids playing with sparklers?

Night-time photography can be tricky at best ... I'd love to see what you captured (and keep Mary's July Photography Challenge in mind - freedom ).

I took pictures of the fireworks ... on television. Seriously, I did. Did the same thing last year, but that was only 'cause we were at the beach and the fireworks got rained out. So, this year's pictures are the same as last - really grainy due to the television screen and pixelation.

Those are tricky shots to get! Sounds like a good cheater method to get them off the tv! I have never gotten a good fireworks shot so now I just simulate them with fireworks brushes on lo's.

Liz, I think with a little Lightroom magic, and maybe keeping the photos small ... well, I might just be able to fake it!

I was going to do that (and with our HD channels I actually get good TV photos, lol) - but ours should go on tonight as planned!!

We didn't see fireworks, except on TV, so no 4th fireworks photos this year.

Here's my "best of" shot from the television (LOL) - still grainy, but I kinda like it and can work that into a future layout.

I think that photo is awesome Kat! My photos were no bueno...but I went with them anyways. We were just so far away and couldn't stay for the whole thing so I just snapped a couple.
