“You and Me”, a bright and cheery collaborative  kit by Carina Gardner, Jen Allyson, Deena Rutter, Audrey Neal, & Sara Schmutz, contains 10 patterned papers, 10 textured solid papers, and 11 coordinating elements.

Post 20 layouts and get $20!

We launched the Design House Gallery a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE seeing all your layouts. I know it’s the first thing I check when I come to the site!

We really want to get out the word that our gallery is up and running, so we’re offering you a $20 store credit when you post 20 qualifying* layouts in the DHD Gallery between March 4th & April 9th.

We are also offering an exclusive collaboration kit (put together by our talented designers) in addition to the $20 store credit if you post 30 qualifying* layouts! Here is a peek at the kit:

So get your Design House kits ready, tell your friends, and start scrapping! We can’t wait to see all the lovely inspiration in the gallery!

*A layout qualifies if it contains digital elements from atleast 3 DHD kits – one of which cannot be a free kit. Your layouts must also be unique, meaning it is a “one of a kind” layout that is not merely a modification of another one of your layouts or a direct copy of layout. To qualify for one of the prizes, all layouts must be posted between March 4th and April 9th. Once you have completed your qualifying layouts, you’ll need to post a link to your member gallery in the Forum. Please credit the kits used in your layouts.

March Challenges at Design House Digital

We are excited to announce our March Challenges. Add a layout to our gallery so we can all enjoy your beautiful work! Each challenge will give out a$5 gift certificate on the last day of the month.  We are excited to see what you create and have you part of our wonderful community!

1. First up is the Color Swatch Challenge which is hosted by one of our designers. Check out Melissa’s forum post where you can post a link to your layout in the gallery, or your layout directly. Melissa is giving away a $5 gift card to one random entry.

2. Tell your story with our Journaling Challenge hosted by a DHD Decorator. This month, you’ll be scribbling your thoughts with Carey Bridges. Check out her challenge and prizes here and the gallery here.

3. Join us for our Inspiration Challenge hosted by a DHD Decorator. Hang out this month with Missy Backues as she helps you inspire your scrapping. Check out her challenge and prizes here and the gallery here.

4. The Photography Challenge is hosted by one of our DHD Decorators each month. In March we’ll see things in black and white with Katherine Bley as she inspires you to work with your photographs in your layouts. Check out her challenge and prizes here and the gallery here.

5. Check out Scraplift this month with Digi Guru Gennifer Bursett. She’s got a great scraplift for you this month. We’ll be starting the challenge soon now that the gallery is open and starting to fill up. Check back for her challenge here and the gallery here.

6. Finally, come hang out with me in the 365 Challenge every month! It’s an exploration process for all of us as well as having a lot of fun recording these memories. We have a Janaury 365 Gallery and  February 365 gallery for inspiration and now have a March Gallery to upload to! Check out this thread to find out how to participate. Challenge Yourself: All New Challenges at DHD!

You will notice some fabulous new challenges here at DHD! We would love for you to come and hang out with us in these inspiring challenges. Each has a gallery for you to post layouts. And of course, there are drawings for gift certificates for participating.

January’s Design 365 Wrap Up

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 365 challenge for January! I’ve loved looked at your layouts in the thread and can’t wait to see you all psot them in the gallery that should be coming soon!

I learned a lot about myself in this challenge. I learned that taking a photo everyday is hard unless I just leave the camera out. A lesson well learned because the best pictures seem to happen on the fly. I learned that some of the best pictures are the moments that just HAPPEN…you know, all the daily stuff that never really seems worth taking a picture about. And I learned that it is important to journal because even as I reread what I did at the first of the month I find myself amazed at what we were doing and the little things that happen in our daily lives.

If you didn’t join me for January’s challenge, I invite you to come with me for February’s 365. You can do it however you like, but feel free to join this wonderful way to preserve your memories.

Winners of the January gift certificates for posting a layout in the Janaury Challenge thread will be named on THURSDAY to give people time to finish up layouts and post. Please check the very first post on that thread as that is where the winners will be announced.

Like my layouts? I used my January premade album to make them.
