Hybrid Ornament Tutorial – 20 Days of Christmas
Hello! To start off the 20 Days of Christmas tutorials, today I have a super easy ornament tutorial for you. Lets get right to it, shall we?
Lets start with the supply list.
You’ll need:
- double sided paper (I used two papers from Robyn’s Hip Holiday collection and printed them back to back.)
- wire (you can find it in the floral section of your craft store.)
- glue dots
- scissors or wire cutters
- a circle punch (I used a 2″, I definitely wouldn’t go any smaller. I think that 3″ would be the ideal size to be hung on a tree.)
- twine or ribbon
First you’ll punch 12 circles. Fold each circle in half and stack them. You’ll need to alternate which side is facing up as you stack.
Then take a piece of your wire and wrap it once around the center. Thread the twine or ribbon through the top and tie it. Twist the wire together to secure it all.
Take a glue dot and place it near the bottom of the circle, where my finger is pointing.
Then adhere that half of the circle to the half of the circle opposite it.
You’ll then place a glue dot on the next half circle, near the top this time (again, where my finger is pointing).
You’ll adhere that to the half circle opposite it. Continue this the entire way around your ornament. When you’re done, it’ll look like this:
Such a quick and easy project. It would be a great gift for teachers, babysitters or daycare providers!
