Spencer Nugent is brand new to scrapbooking, but not new to design or illustration. I wanted to feature some of the Decorator’s layouts using his unique kits to give you some fun ideas on how to use his one-of-a-kind designs!
His Monster kits are among my favorites. Heather Guenther created this layout using Monster Jam Papers, She also added a few other items from Carina Gardner – Essentials – Masks V.3, Jen Allyson – Design 365 – January Stamps, Audrey Neal – Organic Digital Kit

Jenny Bingham featured those same Monster Jam Papers on top of Carina Essentials paper, using carina’s photo masks to give the photos and papers that edged effect. The layout is also embellished with Melissa Esplin’s alpha and Audrey Neal’s alpha which she used as a mask to re-design the pattern on the letters. A few other small details – Stitches, call-out bubble, journaling tag, and the gorgeous swirl from Tiffany Tillman’s Storyteller 2 template.

Karen Funk made this super sweet layout using Spencer’s Monster sticker’s to embellish a bathtime layout. She also used Scrappable collection 1 Template by Tiffany, Martha, my dear seedling paper by Deena and a Frame v2 by Carina to edge the outside of the paper.

Heather Guenther was on a roll when she made this radical surfing layout. Spencer’s Rectangular Frames, and the swirl from Tiffany Tillman’s – Storyteller Template Collection #1 show off the surfing photo perfectly. Spencer’s ultra-mod Bubble Gum Aqua paper, plus his For The Birds: Fying High solid, finish off the look.

Lisa Vanderveen created this very cool layout using Spencer’s For The Birds: In the Trees scribble papers (love those!). She created this layout quickly by using Tiffany’s Scrappable Collection six template, and finished it off with a stitch from Carina.

Here’s another layout with that same For The Birds: In the Trees scribble paper. She used dashed frames from Spencer’s Rectangular Frames. And the blue paper is from Spencer’s London Bridge Papers. She also extracted a little bus the London Bridge Papers and turned it yellow. This page was built with Tiffany’s Scrappable Collection 9.

Susan Haglund created this very adorable page using Spencer’s With Love paper pack. With that birdy paper, you don’t need much to embellish a layout. She added some journaling and a title and of course her photos.

Theresa Marie created this purple layout using Spencer’s With Love Heart Throb Paper Pack. She also used stitches and a mask from Carina’s Essentials kits.

This neutral layout from Heather Guenther was made using Spencer’s Bubble Gum Neutrals. The most stunning part of the layout is Meredith Fenwick’s – A Year In The Life – 31 Day Template. She finished it off by adding a little bling from Carina’s Sugar & Spice Kit – Gemstones, and the background paper is Essentials – Papers V.1

So many looks and styles from one designer’s kits! The artsy styling and unique illustrations might seem a little intimidating, but hopefully these examples will help you create fun and graphic layouts. Thanks Spencer for giving us so much fun stuff to work with!

That is some inspirational stuff. Never knew that opinions could be this varied. Thanks for all the enthusiasm to offer such helpful information here.
