With Autumn in full swing in my part of the world and Thanksgiving approaching (in the U.S.), I chose kits with seasonal colors and a worn fall feel.
The Last Warm Day by Agnes Biro
A Kind Word Vol. 3 by Deena Rutter
The Fiona Kit by Rebecca Wagler
Here’s my page:
I discovered Agnes Biro’s The Last Warm Day kit in the shop and knew it was perfect to showcase photos of the gorgeous fall foliage this year. I added in papers and elements from Rebecca’s The Fiona Kit, some tape and a frame from Juliana and word art from Deena to complete the page. I love how the leaf elements add movement and the sense of rustling in the breeze.
From Sarah Hemmert:
Sarah says, “I’d never seen this kit of Agi’s; it’s gorgeous. I love the neutral colors of these kits and paired with the frames from Ju; it seemed to lend itself to a more timeless layout. So I picked a tradition that we do all the time, making sugar cookies! I ended up with two titles, and both of them describe the action in the pictures. The finishing touch is the bit of sparkle for sprinkles on the page.”
From Janell Nugent:
Janell shares, “I love the rich fall colors in Agnes’ kit with her amazing leaf elements. Ju’s frames are wonderfully fun, it’s like having a popular app in your scrapbooking stash. I have always loved Deena’s word art; she makes titling a snap! Rebecca’s great patterned papers are perfect for accents. I really loved how these 4 Play picks worked together so well.”
From Arielle Gordon:
Arielle commented, “WOW – what an eclectic mix of kits, but believe it or not, they work beautifully together! I started this with a template and then it kinda took a different direction! I love the vintage~y feel of Agnes’ papers and elements, and Rebecca’s kits are always full of quirky fun, also mixing a little vintage with more modern design. Ju’s frames and Deena’s cursive word art really pull it together nicely. Fun kits!”
Now, let’s see what you create! Don’t forget to include a link to your gallery post here in the comment section for your chance to win a DHD gift certificate. Congratulations to Beatrice on winning a gift certificate for last week’s challenge with her layout Locked Up.
Happy Scrapping!
