4 Play
Welcome back to another 4 Play challenge! If you’re new to this challenge, every Monday, the 4 Play challenge features 4 kits by 4 different designers that you use exclusively to create a project for a chance to win a DHD gift certificate. Three of these kits are only $1 and one is totally free! In keeping with a wintry theme, here are the kits that I chose:

Here’s what our amazing decorators did with these kits:
Mandi says: “This was a fun challenge – At first I was a little stumped and I changed my mind tons of times, but I really like how it turned out in the end. I ended up combining parts of two of Rebecca’s templates and decided to use all of the circle masks with Celeste and Karla’s beautiful papers. Then I added a square photo on top. Shannon’s elements went perfectly with my picture and finished things of quite well.”
Jennifer says: “I shrunk Rebecca’s template to fit the size of my card. Karla and Celeste’s papers filled the circles and background and I used Shannon’s accents to complete the card. I recolored one of her elements to match the colors. These kits were definitely a challenge for me and I enjoyed trying to work everything into one project!”
Carey says: “I love the combination of blues and grays in the kit selections this week. I knew I wanted to use a picture that featured snow. Rebecca’s template made this layout come together very quickly!”
Aria says: “I picked these kits because I loved the wintry feel to them although they were a challenge to put together! On my background layer, I layered one of Karla’s papers on top of Celeste’s neutral and used Color Burn so some of the blue from Karla’s would still peek through the background. I also did an Overlay of the brown papers so Karla’s would peek through again and the dark brown wouldn’t be as dark. Shannon’s snowflake elements add more to the winter theme of the layout and the circles in Rebecca’s template also made me think of mounds of snow.”
