4 Play

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to another 4-Play feature! You know how it works, for today only, three kits are priced at $1 each with one kit for free! The challenge for you is to create a layout using just these 4 kits. Upload your layout into our gallery and then post the link in the comments section below to be entered to win a House Digital . (Winner will be announced in the 4Play post next week). The special prices end Monday at midnight PST. Now that it’s October, I thought it would be festive to choose four Halloween kits for this week’s challenge:

You can find the kits here:

Trick or Treat elements by Sara Schmutz

Have a Hoot Solid Papers by Celeste Knight

Superstition Paper Pack 1 by Deena Rutter

All Torn Up masks by Shannon McNab

Aria Andrus: I just loved the mix of Halloween papers and elements because you can do just about anything! The orange colors are great for fall or Halloween and the rustic tape and tears in Shannon’s kit helped give my layout some texture and just a really great Halloween “feel.” To make my photo pop even more off the page, I played around with the shadowing some and added photo corners.

Janell  Nugent: I just LOVED the kit picks this week and I had a lot of fun taking papers and elements from each, combining them and creating my own elements (such as the scalloped edge and the award ribbon). It’s such a fun way to stretch your kits.

Jennifer Hignite: These kits are all so much fun to work with and they made scrapping some of last years Halloween photos a breeze! Deena’s papers are always so much fun to work with, the hardest part is always choosing which one(s) to use! I loved the paper with the little trees so much I just had to use it for the background of my layout! To tone down that busy paper I used one of Celeste’s solid papers to frame my photos and journaling. I used a few of Shannon’s torn up with my photos and Sara’s elements for the title and journaling and the whole layout was complete!

Carey Bridges: Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and these kits work great for any Halloween photo. But for those who don’t celebrate Halloween, they also work well with fall photos, especially with Deena’s cute tree papers! The touches of blue in Sara’s elements give an updated feel to the traditional fall scheme. Celeste’s distressed papers and Shannon’s torn masks add to the crispness and “crunchiness” that I associate with the fall season.

Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

There were so many AMAZING layouts submitted last week!  Thanks for playing!  Congratulations to twomoredays the winner of last week’s 4 Play Challenge!
