Tiffany Said: I couldn’t wait to start my layout using the kit selections this week. I had no idea what photo I would use but just started playing with the papers and elements. When I had composed my page and was ready to add a photo…. I know, kind of backwards…. I decided to check my email and I found that my SIL had just sent me this darling photo of my niece and was delighted that it matched perfectly. I loved the versatility of the scatters. I used the butterflies just as they were but then just used portions of the beads and flowers to further embellish. The brushes from Martha, my dear, added that subtle and soft touch to finish my cluster. Thanks for this week’s inspiring picks Sarah!

Mary said:  I love the collection Sarah put together this week and so fitting with my new grand niece Harper just making her arrival! I used the layering frames from Agnes’ kit as my starting point placing it on a few layered papers from Ju’s kit. I then added the splat under the photo (changing the opacity a bit) and then repeating portions of it along the edges, the journaling card added a touch of pink, as did the heart element. I then used Deena’s brushes to add the white circles and finished it off adding sparklers from Mye’s collection and a small title and minimal journaling.

Janell said: To be honest I have never used layered frames like Agnes’ outside of templates, but I really enjoyed them. Agnes’ details are amazing. I also love Mye’s elements, I love sprinkling elements on my pages and she makes it easy with one click. It was really fun to be creative and think of ways to incorporate Deena’s brushes.

Here is my layout:

I had fun making this layout- I started on Sunday and had it open on my desktop all week. I used Mye’s sparkles to add more shine to the trees and used Deena’s brushes to cut out some of the lace paper. I used every frame in the package and clipped some of Ju’s papers to the frames.  I like that this Christmas layout isn’t made with traditional colors.

Don’t forget that today only (ends Monday at midnight PST), you can get each of these kits for only a dollar, and one is even FREE! So go grab them, and then play along. Upload a layout using these four kits to the DHD gallery by next Sunday, then come back here and post a link to it. Not only will you learn to stretch your kits, but you could win a gift certificate to DHD!

**Congratulations to cyranoscrap for winning a DHD gift certificate for last week’s 4 Play challenge for her layout, My Little Old Man**
