Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s 4 Play Challenge! If this is your first time here let me explain…
Each week we pick 4 different kits by 4 different designers and challenge you to create a layout using them. Below you will see inspiration from the team and at the end of the week a random winner will be chosen to win a gift certificate from DHD!
This week I have chosen 4 different kits that actually challenged the girls to use their amazing creativity.
Here are the kits I picked:
INSPIRATION FROM DHD DECORATORS:
JANELL NUGENT - ”I’ll admit I was nervous when I saw Wendy’s picks…wondering how I could create something I would love. I usually scrap with bright colors and bold patterns, but this 4 Play was really fun to put together once I opened all the kits. I immediately noticed that all of the kits coordinate perfectly and I love the attention to detail from Audrey’s iconic cards and Shannon’s do it yourself date stamps. Neutrals are awesome to scrap with because you can place ANY photos on them and they’ll look great.”
MANDI BUCHANAN - ”I love the selections that Wendy made for this week’s challenge! After digging into the kits I realized how versatile they could be. Their simplicity allowed my photo to just shine and reflected the quiet moment that I wanted to capture. These great kits will become part of your “go to” stash – I promise!!”
ARIELLE GORDON - ”Wow – I have to admit, these kits all together scared me – especially since there was NO patterned paper, which I heavily rely on! But, as I worked with them I realized how perfect they were together. Any pictures look great with Karen’s neutral papers, and the elements were all so classic. Deena’s word art is gorgeous and Shannon’s date stamps worked so well with Audrey’s cards… I’m really thrilled with the result!”
WENDY BRETZ – ” The reason I chose these kits is because I wanted to challenge you all. These are kits I’ve already had in my collection and use over and over again. I tend to create layouts using no patterned paper where as most scrapbookers use it. So this week, open your mind and create a layout that you love. You can totally stay within your style but also think outside the box. Have fun!”
So there you go…some awesome inspiration to get you started! Don’t forget that today only (ends Monday at midnight PST), you can get each of these kits for only a dollar, and one is even FREE! So go grab them, and then play along. Upload a layout using these four kits to the DHD gallery by next Sunday, then come back here and post a link to it. Not only will you learn to stretch your kits, but you could win a gift certificate to DHD!
I can’t wait to see what you all come up with
the WINNER of last weeks challenge is: AWCH by Kate! Congratulations!
