Good Morning everyone! Sorry about the delay in getting this posted. I will blame it on too much Easter dinner goodness. I hope you had a fabulous celebration with your family.

I recently celebrated my 48th birthday! When I was deciding on what 4 kits to use this week I new I wanted my layout to be about this milestone, but not using typical birthday type kits.

Aren’t these kits awesome? I just love them all.

Remarkable Full kit – Karla Dudley

Clementine Solids – Celeste Knight

Real Simple Polaroid Frames – Jen Allyson

Chipper – Chipped Paint Alpha – Robyn Meierotto

Here is what the Decorators came up with using these four kits combined.

Anna

“This time I started building my layout with the Jen’s frame. As it’s quite big I decided to put it in the middle and make the whole page symmetrical. I found Karla’s wordart and elements very easy to be used in this clean and simple way. Last but not least, I took Robyn’s alpha to make a bold title.”

Audrey

“Celeste’s solid papers have such a wonderful texture to them that I knew I wanted to use them to add some texture to my photo, so once I converted it to black and white, I simply placed the gray-ish paper on top and changed the blend mode to soft light. Perfect. A few more bits of the blue papers, plus a few patterns from Karla’s paper pack, and my layout was pretty much completed. I tucked in a couple of Jen’s polaroid frames to break up a few of the circles and give me a place to tuck a couple more photographs, added some elements, and finished things off with Robyn’s alpha, which carried the distressed theme a bit further.”

Missy

“I love the texture in Celeste’s solid papers so I wanted to use some “white space” to show off that texture. Jen’s clean polaroid type frames were a nice contrast and they are so great because they are already shadowed so I didn’t have to do a lot of work to get those lifted shadows. Karla’s great brushes and elements really dress up my layout, and then I finished my layout by adding a title with one of Robyn’s fantastic alphas. These four kits allowed me to make this layout very quickly, and who doesn’t need that these days?”

Mary

“I used Celeste’s Clementine Solids paper as a background, layering it with a patterned paper from Karla’s kit, I then resized the solid and placed it again. I placed the photo in the Polaroid frame by Jen and then added layers of different papers underneath. Karla’s kit had some fun brushes as well, so I added the date calendar and a brush on my photo. I topped it off using Robyn’s chipped alpha for my title.”

Congrats to Sarah C for winning this weeks Gift Certificate for participating in last week’s challenge with her layout Bunny Love
