Who’s ready for another round of 1 Kit, 4 Ways? If this is your first time, let me explain how it works… oh, who am I kidding? It’s pretty self-explanatory, isn’t it?
This week, we’re working with Audrey Neal’s Pieces of Me kit, which I absolutely adore. It’s a massive kit, with eight patterned papers and 25 elements. The colors are great, and it works for so many different applications!
I (surprise, surprise!) kept my background white, but added the painted border around the edges. That, paired with a slightly grungy font, really helps keep this layout hip; perfect for the teenage boys in the photo. Just a bit of patterned paper, the stitched frame, and chipboard arrow finish this off, keeping the focus right on the bright colors of the photo.

Renee Fink used the kit (and the title) to create the title layout of an All About Me album she’s working on. She started her page off with a template by Tiffany Tillman, and used solid colors for her background… a great thing to do when mixing photos from different eras. The casual sprinkling of the chipboard puzzle pieces really helps set the tone for the book, exactly like a title page should!

Missy Backues also started with a template by Tiffany, from the Scrappable Collection Four kit. I love the subtle things that make this kit totally work here: the cool bluish-grey background paper (for a snow day) and the unexpected pops of red and golden yellow, which really seem to match the crazy hairdos. Great layout, Missy!

Heather Guenther also used the painted border, but layered it on top of a fantastic grid paper from Carina Gardner’s ESSENTIALS-Papers v.1. She also used the same word art (which I consider signature Audrey) as Missy did, and made her layout really stand out by weaving her swirled string through her chipboard pieces. A simple layout at first glance, but loaded with great detail!

I can’t say it enough… this kit is perfect for so many things. Check it out, and see what it inspires you to create!
