1 Kit, 4 Ways – Office Space

Another Wednesday, another collab, and I’m especially pleased to bring you this week’s collaboration between and me, called Office Space:

It’s a little bit modern, a little bit vintage, a  little bit cheerful, and a whole lotta fun. Let’s take a look at some layouts, created by our Design House Decorators:

Layout by Audrey Neal

Audrey says: “I love office supplies. I do. I love them so much that I can spend hours wandering through stores like Office Depot or Staples. So obviously, I adore the retro office theme of this new collab. I started this layout by pulling everything I loved from the two kits onto one 12×12 canvas. Then, I started moving items around and removing things that just didn’t fit with what was starting to take place in my head. The paper elements all work beautifully for layered, stacked images, and the papers are a great mix of neutrals and patterns.”

Katherine says: “I loved layering all the bits ‘n’ pieces in this collab kit – so much to choose from! Erica’s more modern papers and elements were a perfect complement to Gennifer’s vintage vibe. It was the quote from Erica that got my page started. Ah, the simple things in life.”

Layout by Mary Rogers

Mary says: “When I saw the kits I tried to think of a unique angle to take on my layout. I have been an office manager for many years but decided to do my layout about my son’s “office”. The hockey rink. This collab was a perfect harmony of Erica’s and Gennifer’s creative styles. Using papers and elements from both kits for my layout, I was able to add layers that flowed perfectly together, add in a little bit of recoloring and call it done!”

Layout by Mandi Buchanan

Mandi says: “I always head right for Gen’s photo actions and she didn’t disappoint – LOVE THEM! I’m a sucker for old barn wood, scrapbooking or otherwise, so that became the base for my page. Erica’s word art gave me a direction for a story I wanted to share about my oldest daughter. I used blending modes to keep focus on my photo. Gen’s stitching provided a great place for my journaling list. Ampersands are a favorite of mine, so I used Erica’s grunge brush and clipped one of her cute papers to give my layout some color and pop. Gen’s frames, tabs and tin sign rounded out my page, while Erica’s envelope provided a place for my title and subtitle and also broke up my grouping of small pictures.”

Great layouts, aren’t they? Are you ready for your chance to win Part 1 and Part 2 of this collab? Comment here, and answer this:

Have you seen the movie Office Space?

My answer? YES. (So many times, because I love it that much.) Don’t forget to stop by this weekend to score some great deal on both Erica’s and my shop, including some free kits and dollar kits. Plus, you can join us for a chat here at DHD this Friday night at 7 PM (MST), and you just might get a little something extra out of it. ;)

(Congrats to Laurel, who wins last weeks collab!)
