1 Kit, 4 Ways – Happy Christmas Mega Kit

Are you in the holiday spirit yet? If not, after this week you’re sure to be. We’re playing around with Deena Rutter’s Happy Christmas Mega Kit:

This kit is full of whimsy, and is sure to put a smile on your face. Check out what some of the Design House Decorators and I did with it:

Sometimes, heartfelt journaling is all a layout needs, and can save you some money in therapy. ;) By keeping the busy patterned papers in small doses, I’m able to mix and match for a playful feeling. A bit of stitching and some sprinkled gems are all it takes to finish the page off, for a quick, photo-free page. Layout by Tiffany Bodily

Tiffany Bodily says: “So many Christmas kits are full of elegant embellishments and though I love those frills, sometimes when I am doing a layout about my boys I need something clean and classic. Deena’s Happy Christmas kit was just the right choice to let this favorite photo of last season stand out on the page. I loved the Santa letter in this kit and found it to be the perfect place to add some journaling about my mischievous boys.” (Supplies: Happy Christmas by Deena Rutter)

Right Side - Layout by Renee Fink

Renee Fink says: “I love the color palette in this kit and found it particularly useful to document our family tradition of celebrating a combined Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday. The orange colors and Christmas theme provided the perfect canvas to merge these two holidays. I removed the gifts from the wagon using the magic wand tool and they were the perfect header for my journaling column. A few more gifts, a border and a tag were all that was necessary to complete this double page spread.” (Supplies: Happy Christmas by Deena Rutter)

Layout by Carey Bridges

Carey Bridges says: “The fun and festive style of Deena Rutter’s Happy Christmas caught my eye right away. The hand-drawn feel of the elements matched the playful mood of the picture of my son under our just-decorated Christmas tree. I created a frame around my photo by cropping the dot border to fit around each side of the photo. I used another border, along with a strip of paper, along the bottom of the page to ground the page and offset the weight at the top of the paper.” (Supplies: Happy Christmas by Deena Rutter)

Pretty awesome, huh? So, want your very own copy of Happy Christmas? It’s an easy one, just answer this: Have you been naughty or nice this year?

(Congrats to flowersgal, last week’s winner. Have fun!)
