1 Kit 4 Ways: Fresh Picked
We’re back, and this week’s collaboration is super sweet. I happily give you Fresh Picked, by Celeste Knight and Erica Coombs:
I love the slightly retro but oh-so-fresh feel to this collab. Let’s take a look at some layouts by the Design House Decorators, shall we?
Jeryn says: The best thing I love about this collab is the vintage mom stirring up a batch of wonderful goodness. I like to think that’s how I, and others, see me when I cook. I created my LO around the mom (which sounds silly) but I chose Crystal’s Simple Stories template to allow me to include the mom as part of my main focus. I chose paper that reminds me of the lining of a picnic basket and then added the pictures last.
Tiffany says: We grow a vegetable garden every year and in addition to eating the veggies, I always enjoy taking photos of our produce. I knew this kit was a must have with all those cute vegetable stickers. Erica’s pattern paper, with the stripes and rows of vegetables, is perfect for isolating strips from to create your own ribbon looking border – like I did across the bottom of my page. I also loved Celeste’s bold vegetable pattern paper which I used to mat my photo. For my title I used one of the word arts but altered it to just use the word fresh by erasing the other portion of the wording. To complete my page I used the following products: Digi Essentials 7 – elements By Karla Dudley, Digi Essentials – elements By Karla Dudley, and Toolbox – Action V.1 By Gennifer Bursett.
Jennifer says: When I first saw these kits, I thought of a new recipe for zucchini fritters that I tried recently. I started by using Celeste’s yellow paper for the background to match my photo. I matted my photo with Erica’s papers and layered paper strips from both kits underneath the photo. Celeste’s red scallop border reminded me of a kitchen curtain so I clipped some papers around that for the top. I extracted the heart from Celeste’s tag and layered it on top of a banner clipped with one of Erica’s papers. I placed the title over the photo and added the lady and flowers around the page. For a finishing touch, I added stitching and mists: Toolbox Mist V.8 by Gennifer Bursett, and Simple Stitches by Karen Funk.
Arielle says: I was so excited to see these kits! I love to cook, and plan to have a backyard garden in the spring and this collab is going to be perfect! One of my favorite things to do is bake, so I thought it might be fun to do a layout of something I make on the weekends for breakfast. I wanted a clean, simple page so that my recipe and little picture could be the stars. My mother has a recipe box with old typewritten 3×5 cards, also some handwritten, so I wanted to emulate that look.
Fun, right? Are you ready for your chance to win Fresh Picked Part 1 and Fresh Picked Part 2? Comment here, and answer this:

We’ll be back next week to announce our winner. Be sure to stop by this weekend for great deals on Celeste’s and Erica’s shops, including $1 and free kits!
(Congrats to DigiDeb, who wins last week’s collab. Have fun scrapping all those photos!)
