Another Wednesday, another 1 Kit, 4 Ways! This week, we’re working with Kate Teague’s Fresh Breezes:
Kate’s kits are always fun, and this one is no exception! With patterned paper, solids, elements, and an alpha, it’s got plenty to work with! Let’s get to the goods, yeah?
Celeste says: “When I first saw this kit, I immediately though of this photo of my niece. The light, breezy colors in the pattern papers go fabulously with her hat and the yellow shirt she’s wearing. I used the journaling label (increasing the size quite a bit) as a home for the gorgeous flower and button.”
Katherine says: “I really wanted to highlight the papers in Kate Teague’s Fresh Breezes kit, so I chose a template by Deena Rutter (365 Layered Template No. 35) that had lots of spaces for paper pieces. The background paper might not look like it comes from Kate’s kit, but it does.
Since my photo was Fall-related, I wanted a darker background, maybe a brown, so I starting playing with the solid papers in the kit. The green/grey that I ended up with was a happy accident that I got by layering the Mint solid over Teal, and then playing with blending modes (Darken on the Mint, and Luminosity on the Teal).
Jen says: “The papers in Kate’s new kit were the perfect shade of green to complement the colors in this photo of my son. To roughen up the page a bit, I blended in one of the other papers, added Agnes’s Worn Page Overlay and some masks by Tiffany.”
Jennifer says: “The green paper was perfect for a page about planting grass seeds in our backyard. I kept it simple with a tag, button and alpha title, and added a lot of my own text, as I like to do. Telling the story is always important to me and I like to have as much journaling as possible on my pages. Kate’s kit is bright and fresh…perfect for catching up on all those verdant summer photos before we head into the fall holiday rush!”
So, are you ready for your chance to win this kit? Comment here, and answer this simple question:
Is it breezy where you are today?
Don’t forget to check back this weekend, when Kate’s entire shop will be on sale. It’s a great time to pick up some great deals!
(Congrats to Liz, who wins last week’s kit. Have fun!)

What a beautiful kit, and layouts! No, not terribly breezy here!
Yes, it’s breezy here today, and I heard on the radio that we’re supposed to stay in the low 80s (for the highs) all week long! YAY! We’ve had enough heat for this year here in north Texas.
Gorgeous kit and fab LOs!
My blackberry is telling me, with a cute little “Mr Wind” icon, that breezy is an understatement…we’re talking 30 mph gusts. Yuck.
Hating the weather…loving the kit. Colors are perfect.
We have had the wackiest weather recently. Today is NOT supposed to be breezy. It is gonna be 85 and sunny.
This week, we also have had, stormy, rainy, windy, cold, sunny, hot, warm, humid, cool, and thunderstorm(y). I never know what to wear!
I live in Beulah, ND and it is always breezy…windy here! Today is not exception and the autumn leaves are bustling about. It is a perfect fall day! Thanks for the opportunity to win this kit. It is just darling!
Today is calm, but gloomy and spotty rain…kind of depressing really. But I still love fall!
Thank you for the chance to win.
Not breezy in Michigan today. We have had unseasonably warm weather. It’s cloudy but hopefully the rain holds off. Go Tigers!!!
Gorgeous kit from Kate. I love her stuff – oh, and nope, not a leaf stirring in the breeze here today.
Well, I spent 14 hours at work and missed the whole day, but I’d guess that it WAS quite breezy here today. When I left this morning there were leaves on both the trees on the boulevard in front of the house and when I got home there were none. It’s dead calm right now!
yes it is!
The the kit and layouts!
