1 Kit, 4 Ways: Everyday Celebrations
We’re back, and this week we’re celebrating, with Audrey Neal’s Everyday Celebrations kit.
And, by everyday, we literally mean every day. Check out how a few of the Design House Decorators and I used this fun and funky kit!
I absolutely love this photo of my husband from Halloween last year! The charcoal background paper was a nice change from my standby kraft or white, and the pops of lime green, orange, and purple alpha (from our DHD blog hop) easily convey the Halloween color scheme, without being over-the-top with embellishments. The corrugated cardboard provides a nice photo mat, and some torn notebook paper makes a nice spot for journaling. A bit of stitching and some splatters are all it takes to finish off the page. Jen Papadimitriou says, “I love Audrey’s bold and fun colours from her Everyday Celebrations kit! I thought they would be perfect for the photos of my daughter playing. The days of the week tabs are great for documenting the everyday moments of our lives.” (Credits: Rockabilly Alphabet, Feels Like Home)
Allison Waken shares her thoughts, “I knew I wanted to scrap these pictures of my boys playing in the water park at the zoo, but hadn’t found elements I liked yet. I saw Audrey’s Everyday Celebration Kit and knew that this dark paper and the fun colors would make my photos stand out. I loved the days of the week stickers, and those gorgeous bright stitchings. I love how the colors pop but still don’t compete with the photos.”
Katie Richards says, “What stands out to me in Audrey’s Everyday Celebrations kit was the black and white paper mixed with the bright colors. I also liked the heart flair and decided to make it a fun love-layout. I started out with layering the red, black and white papers. Once I was satisfied I added the colored stitching and flowers for the fun.” (Credits: Real Simple Shaped Masks, Simplicity – Digital Solid Papers)
So, what do you think? Whether you’re scrapping a tribute page, a holiday page, or a kid page, this kit will truly work for every day. Want to win it? Comment here, and tell me about something you do every day. Me? Not a day goes by that I don’t read, at least for a few minutes before bed! (Even when it’s 4:30 AM, and I’m just heading there.)
Don’t forget to check back this weekend, because some of Audrey’s kits are being retired. Get awesome savings on Saturday and Sunday, and there’s even a freebie!
(Congrats to Suzanne, the winner of last week’s kit. I hope your nose hairs stay intact!)
