We’re back with another 1 Kit, 4 Ways! This week, we’re ever-so-happy to be working with Karen Funk’s Everlasting kit:
Comprised of calm greys and soothing yellows, this kit is great for so many things! Let’s see what the Design House Decorators and I came up with this week!
Yellow & grey happened to be the colors for my brother’s wedding reception last week, and I took these photos of my youngest hamming it up with the photo props, which they did instead of a sign-in book. Polaroid frames help to keep the vintage vibe going strong, and a simple, centered design keeps it timeless. Plus, with a cutie like that, what else is needed? Tiffany Bodily says, “When I took these photos of my daughter in a rose garden, I knew I would want to scrapbook them with a soft, feminine kit. One without distracting colors or elements. Karen’s kit provided just what I was looking for. I loved that the kit was only two colors and the fact that one color was yellow really clinched the deal. The roses my daughter was admiring happened to be a pale yellow. I was able to create just the look I was hoping for with this lovely kit!” (Credits: Everlasting by Karen Funk)
Katie Richards says, “I loved the yellow floral papers and I wanted them to stand out so I started with a template and some gray paper from Karen’s kit. I was just going to leave the photo without any border, but decided it would stand out more if I added the postage stamp frame and adjusted the color so it was white and stood out on the gray paper.” (Credits: Everlasting by Karen Funk, Layered Layouts vol. 10 by Deena Rutter, Wire Sentiments by Karla Dudley)
Carey Bridges says, “I was immediately drawn to the cute circle sentiment tags in the Everlasting kit and wanted to feature them on my page. The phrases were perfect for a photo of my son and me. I placed the photo front and center and used the circles to draw the viewer’s eye through my page. The distressed gray paper made the perfect background to keep the focus on the photo and the phrases. I also loved the yellow patterned paper, so I made a strip peek out along the right side of the layout. Finally, I added some stitching, staples and brads to hold everything down.” (Credits: Everlasting and Essential Hardware by Karen Funk)
Isn’t Everlasting everbeautiful? I know. So, you know the drill… one of our readers will be have an Everlasting of their very own. Want it to be you? Comment here, and finish this sentence: “I’m ever-so-happy that…” I can’t wait to read your responses!
