1 Kit, 4 Ways – Classy Cupid Kit

This week, we’re working with one of our newest kits, Melissa Esplin’s Classy Cupid Mini Kit.
Want to win it? HA! It’s already free! (That’s right, FREE!) Keep reading, though, because we still have a prize to give away!
First up, me:

I snapped these photos of my brother and his girlfriend over the weekend, and thought this kit was perfect for them! With such a bright and airy feel to it, it really suits my style. I layered the photos (framed with Jen Allyson’s Real Simple Clean Frames), and added the flower and ‘Love’ word art. A quote from ‘500 Days of Summer‘ (Elise’s favorite movie) and their names & date, and I was done.
Next, we have a layout by Jenny Bingham:

I love how Jenny kept her page really delicate and feminine. She changed the photo to black and white, which goes perfectly with the grey tones in the photo mat. Speaking of that, did you notice how she shrunk down one of the papers for it? What a great idea!
Check out Susan Haglund‘s layout:

I love the three main blocks centered across her page, with different colored strokes added to each. She kept the focus on her super-cute daughter by overlaying the frame onto it, and then pulled the colors from her photo across the page with her text. Love it!
Renee Fink wraps us up with a gorgeous two-pager:

Using the same background paper for both pages helps keep the layout unified, but the layering of photos and clustering of elements adds just the right interest. I especially like the way she used the frame around two photos on her right-hand page, helping to balance the single, larger photo on the left.
Hopefully we’ve shown you just how far you can stretch a single kit. So, what’s your favorite thing to stretch? Bubble gum? Your muscles? Comment here, and you could win a $5 Gift Certificate to Design House Digital. Tracy, our winner, should be able to stretch it pretty far, with so many great $1 kits this month!
P.S. Wanna know who won last week? Check it out here!
