1 Kit, 4 Ways: Better With You
Hello, all, and welcome to this week’s 1 Kit, 4 Ways. First time? Well, it’s where we take one collab and show you four different layouts. This week, I teamed up with the awesome Mye De Leon to bring you Better With You:
Things really are better when they’re shared with someone you love, right? This fun kit is bright, happy, and pretty darn versatile! Let’s take a look at some of the layouts created by our amazing Design House Digital Decorators:

Tiffany says: I recently took this photo of my in-laws to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I think they would definitely qualify for the title of this kit “Better With You.” For my layout I decided to go with an almost neutral or monochromatic look using just black/gray/white and then just a splash of color with the orange. My in-laws were dressed pretty neutrally so any loud colors used in abundance would have distracted from the photo. I absolutely loved the pattern paper I used for the main background with the repeating words that sum up 50 years of marriage so well for these two.

Anna says: When I saw the name of the kit and the word art labels I immediately knew which photo I’d use. It’s a picture of my nephew and niece and it speaks volumes about their characters and relationship. They’re cute, lovable and sweet but they also form an extremely energetic and unpredictable duo. One moment they love each other and the next they fight over toys. Moreover, the colours and patterns of the papers and elements matched the kids’ outfits perfectly, so it was a great kit to work with.

Mandi says: The beautiful colors of Gennifer’s papers drew me in right away and made me think of this picture of my daughter’s first day of school this year. I’ve been wanting to use one of Mye’s frames for a long time and I love how it brings attention to my special girl. I couldn’t resist using Gen’s fun flowers and then I added Mye’s funky stitching, a tab, and some ric rac. I used Karla Dudley’s Calipso Alpha1 and DigiEssentials 9 for a small title and Gennifer Bursett’s mist to finish it all off. Great kits and so fun to work with!!

Jen says: I love the bright earthy tones of the patterned paper! I made sure to use a few of those as well as the journaling card to capture a sweet moment. I thought the “Love” metal word was adorable and was perfect to use for my title quote. I blended the flower pattern with the brown solid to add a slight texture to it.

Right now, I’ve got a bad case of the late-night munchies, so I’d have to say “Everything’s better with chocolate.” (Might have to make a late-night snack run now!)
